Your Heart’s Desire

Our hearts eventually get wounded.  They heal, but the scars remain.  These scars—what’s left over from past relationship trauma—get carried into each new relationship we encounter in life. Instead of approaching people with joy and the expectation of acceptance, we approach them with some amount of distrust, anxiety, and judgment. If we heal our (often subconscious) scars, the heart can do its work, and we can find—and receive—who and what we truly desire!

If we lead with, and show others, our heart instead of our scars—if we can be comfortable with our vulnerability—we can truly love ourselves. Then we can reveal our authentic selves, and ultimately, find our right partner in any romantic, professional , or friendly relationship.  We can live equally and truthfully with each other, without enmeshment or codependency.
